Wanting to protect you, from anyone who presents himself as a security technician when he is unqualified, (without the appropriate degree of knowledge in a constantly evolving technological product) and in general from people or companies where they have an impediment to public order or public safety or public health, the state has enacted a series of measures by law, which we are providing for your information.
- By Laws 2518/1997 & 2518/1997 Coll. 3707/2008 and the Ministerial Decision 4892/1/76-c/2010 - Government Gazette 664/B/17-5-2010 define the conditions that every company or natural person involved in the security of citizens must have and specify that it is required to hold Special Operating Licenses issued by the Greek Police and renewed every 5 years and have the following conditions:
- Be a graduate in Electronics , Automation & other related Electronics specialties.
- There is no impediment to public policy, public security or public health.
- You must not have been convicted of theft, extortion or fraud.
- Not have been dismissed from public service in the past.
READING THE ABOVE LEGISLATION CONCERNING BUSINESSES & TECHNICIANS, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT:
- Companies and individuals providing security services are subject to strict legislation.
- Each licensee holds a special licence with a specific period of validity, and is checked by the Police.
- Offering security services without a licence from the Police is illegal.
- Offenders are subject to criminal prosecution up to two years in prison or a fine of up to €30,000.
- The technician or business that is not licensed, you don't know why the state hasn't given them a License.
SELECTING LICENSEES, TECHNICIANS & BUSINESSES:
- You know who is in possession of sensitive information concerning your safety and security.
- You receive reliable security services due to the constant and thorough control of the Police.
- You are fully compliant with the laws and do not encourage illegality
FOR YOUR SAFETY:
- DO NOT give sensitive information and data concerning your personal security to illegal companies or technicians.
- DO NOT invite companies or technicians to your premises without knowing if they are legal or illegal.
- DO NOT ask offenders to protect you from outlaws.
